Nokia Lumia 800 Review

See other variants reviews Score: 53.8 / 100

Nokia Lumia 800 is a fair quality cellphone launched back in 2011, including an 8 MP back-facing camera, a 3.7" multi touch capacitive screen and a 1.4 GHz CPU. Let's take a better sight of what this phone has to offer.

Nokia equipped this phone with a fast processing unit ticking at 1400 megahertz, packed into the Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 system chip and 512 MB RAM memory. This phone comes with a 16 GB quite big internal storage and while it doesn't count with an SD memory card expansion slot, it is enough to install hundreds of games and apps, but it may not be suitable if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

Nokia forgot about weight optimization in this 5.01 oz cellphone, far heavier than other similar cellphones.

The Nokia Lumia 800 is equipped with only an 8 megapixels back side camera. The Lumia 800 can also film 1280x720 HD videos at 30 frames per second. This camera also counts with a few nice features: auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

Nokia equipped this phone with a nice 3.7" display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes everything look great. Its display uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This phone comes with a 1450 mAh medium Li-Ion replaceable battery that provides this phone a poor battery duration. According to Nokia, the Nokia Lumia 800 has an aproximate 13 hours talk time and a 265 hours stand by time.

The Lumia 800 has wifi capability (which it can provide to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers.

The Lumia 800 also features a couple cool features as Bluetooth (for communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Nokia offers this phone for $ 370, which is not a good offer for this kind of phone. The Lumia 800 is a great option for you if you want a cellphone mainly for internet broswing and social networks.
