Nokia N97 Review

Nokia N97 is a little outdated Symbian phone launched many years ago, having a fast 434 megahertz processor, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 3.5-inches touch-screen.

Nokia decided to power this cellphone with a powerful processing unit clocking at 434 MHz and just 128 MB of RAM. This cellphone has a huge 32 GB internal storage memory and an external memory slot, more than enough to store hundreds of applications without having to worry about running out of space at all.

This cellphone is a bit thick for current standards, being as thick as 0.63". This phone is quite heavyweight comparing with today standards, with a weight of 5.29 ounces.

The Nokia N97 is equipped with only a 5 megapixels back side camera. the Nokia N97's back side camera has an aperture of F2.8 so it's quite hard to take clear pictures in dark environments. This phone also captures VGA 640x480 videos at 30 frames per second. This cellphone also includes flash and auto-focus.

Nokia packed this cellphone with a very good 3.5" screen, and a resolution of 640 x 360 , which makes it hard to see the pixels in the screen. This screen uses TFT resistive technology, but it can't detect multi touch gestures.

The Nokia N97 counts with WiFi connectivity (but it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM connection.

The Nokia N97 counts with a 1500 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion removable battery that can keep this phone running for some hours, although you will need to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. According to Nokia, this cellphone has an estimated 430 hs stand by time and a 6.7 hs talk time.

This cellphone also includes a couple cool features like Bluetooth (2.0, EDR) and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Nokia N97 costs about $ 679, which is high for this type of cellphone.
