Samsung Galaxy Rush Review

(SPH-M830) Score: 52.3 / 100

Samsung Galaxy Rush is a fair quality phone released back in the year 2012, packing a medium 3.5" touch-screen, a good performance 1 gigahertz processor, and 2 cameras, a 3 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

Samsung decided to design this phone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8655 chip, backed up by a powerful 1000 megahertz processing unit with 768 MB RAM memory. Graphic calculations often uses lots of processor cycles, so this phone also counts with an Adreno 205 graphic processing unit working at 245 megahertz to take some work out of the processor. This cellphone comes with an average 2 GB internal storage memory, which is adequate for most users considering that the Rush also has an external memory card slot .

This cellphone isn't really a compact device, taking into account that it is 4.84" long, but it only holds a 3.5" display. This device isn't very light comparing with today standards, with a weight of 4.2 oz.

Samsung equipped this cellphone with a mediocre 3.5" display, and a resolution of 320 x 240 (QVGA), making images look less detailed. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The Rush counts with Wi-Fi connectivity (but it can't share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot). This phone doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks and it can work with CDMA networks.

This phone has two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. In addition, the camera includes flash.

This device also comes with a couple nice characteristics like Bluetooth (enables communication with other cellphones and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone has a medium capacity 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is not really enough for a consuming cellphone like this. This cellphone has an aproximate talk time of 9 hs and a stand by time of 348 hours according to Samsung.

This phone is being sold for around $ 100, not a good offer for comparing with other similar phones.
