Samsung Galaxy Star is a fair quality Android phone launched in 2013, including a 3" multi-touch capacitive screen, a 2 megapixels back-facing camera and a good performance 1 gigahertz CPU.
Samsung decided to build this phone using a great performance CPU ticking at 1000 MHz with 512 MB RAM memory. This cellphone has a 4 GB internal storage, a decent quantity that should be enough considering that this phone also has an external memory card slot to store photos and videos.
This phone is sold in two different color options, black and white. It appears that Samsung forgot about optimizing the weight in this 3.62 ounces device. Although the Samsung Galaxy Star is as big as 4.14" long, it only comes with a smaller 3 inches screen.
This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
This cellphone has only a 2 megapixels back side camera. It can also shoot 320x240 QVGA videos at 15 fps. This camera also features geo tagging.
This phone comes with a small sized 1200 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep this phone running for some hours, although you will need to charge it if you use it heavily. This cellphone has an estimated 14 hours talk time and a 320 hs stand by time.
This phone provides wi-fi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connectivity, using EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses two SIM cards so it can to work with 2 different phone lines or carriers in the same device.
The Star also includes a couple of interesting features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeAccelerometer and Compass.
The Samsung Galaxy Star is not a very good choice considering it is priced 249 dollars, and some similar devices are sold for much less than that.
