Sony Xperia E4 Review

Sony Xperia E4 is a good cellphone launched in 2015, counting with a pretty large 5 inches touch-screen, a very powerful Quad-Core processor ticking at 1300 MHz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Sony equipped this phone with an extremely fast Quad-Core processor running at 1300 megahertz, included in the Mediatek MT6582 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing for a device this powerful. To handle graphic rendering, the Sony Xperia E4 also uses a 416 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU. A good advantage of the Sony Xperia E4 is the 8 GB quite large internal storage and an SD memory slot, enough to install a couple hundred apps and games without worrying about space.

The Sony Xperia E4 is much lighter than what one would expect from a phone this size. This cellphone's thickness of 0.41 inches is a little bit far from nowadays standards, but it still feels in the hand. This phone is quite a compact phone, considering it packs a 5" display and it only has 5.39 inches long. This phone is for sale in 2 different colors, black and white.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. It is also able to shoot videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. This cellphone also features many cool characteristics like flash, auto-focus, digital image stabilization, fast burst mode, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone has a nice 960 x 540 5" screen, which makes all images and videos look very good. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Sony Xperia E4 has WiFi connection (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a modem), 4G (HSPA+) data connection, which is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone comes with two Micro SIM cards so it is able to use two different phone lines or carriers in the same phone.

The Sony Xperia E4 packs a high capacity 2300 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that can keep this phone running for several hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it too much. Sony reports a 552 hs stand by time and a 12.2 hs talk time for this phone. An issue to take into account is that this device's battery is non-removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to lose its charge, even though with its 2300 mAh you will probably replace this cellphone before that happens.

The Sony Xperia E4 also includes a handful of cool features as Bluetooth (4.1) and GPS, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

Sony is selling this cellphone for 249 dollars, which is not a good offer for comparing with similar phones. The Sony Xperia E4 is probably the right one for you it doesn't matter whether you are looking for a phone for playing games, want a cellphone for work or want a social phone.
