Sony Xperia E4 Review

Sony Xperia E4 is a mid-end Android phone released back in the year 2015, packed with a high-tech Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1300 megahertz, a pretty large 5 inches touch-screen, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera.

Sony ships this phone with an extremely powerful Quad-Core CPU speeding at 1300 MHz, bundled in the Mediatek MT6582 chip with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit disappointing considering its powerful processing power. Graphic rendering often consume a lot of CPU processing time, so it also counts with a 416 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU to take some work out of the processor. A nice advantage of this phone is its quite large 8 GB internal storage memory and an SD extension slot, which allows the user to store hundreds of games and applications without any trouble.

Sony did a very nice design job making the Sony Xperia E4 weight just 5.08 oz. This device is sold in two colors, black and white. This phone's thickness of 0.41" is quite far from current standards, but it still feels comfortable in the hand. Although this device is only 5.39 inches long and 2.94 inches wide, it manages to pack a 5 inches display.

This phone includes a very good 5-inches screen with a 960 x 540 resolution, which makes everything look beautiful. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This device has two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 2 megapixels front camera. It is capable of capturing 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 frames per second. This cellphone also includes lots of valuable features: flash, auto-focus, digital image stabilization, fast burst mode, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone packs a 2300 mAh great Li-Ion non-removable battery that can keep it running for several hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it heavily. Sony claims this device has a 552 hours stand by time and a 12.2 hs talk time. An issue to take into consideration is that this phone's battery isn't replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, though with such a huge battery size you will probably buy a new cellphone before that happens.

This cellphone counts with wifi connection (which it can provide to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) data connection, which is not as fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone comes with two Micro SIM cards so it's able to use 2 different phone numbers and even different carriers in the same cellphone.

This cellphone also includes a few cool features such as Bluetooth (4.1) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This device is being sold for around $ 249, expensive for comparing with similar phones. If you need a cellphone for gaming, will use this cellphone mostly for internet broswing and social networks or need a phone for work, this phone is definitely the correct option for you.
