Samsung Galaxy Tab CDMA Review

Score: 53.9 / 100

Samsung Galaxy Tab CDMA is a nice tablet device launched many years ago, having a processing unit running at 1 GHz, a pretty large 7" capacitive screen, a 3 MP back camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's only the shortest summary in the world.

Samsung decided to power this tablet with a Samsung Exynos 3 system chip, which holds a powerful processing unit clocking at 1 gigahertz and 512 MB RAM memory. Graphic intensive games and applications generally uses lots of processing time, so it has an extra 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit to help with that calculations. The Tab CDMA comes with a passable 2 GB internal storage, which is fine considering that it also has an external memory slot .

Although this tablet just has 7.48" long, it is still able to fit a a 7 inches screen. The Tab CDMA is a bit heavy for a tablet of this size, with a weight of 13.4 oz.

This device is equipped with two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front camera. This tablet also shoots videos in 720x480 at 30 frames per second. In addition, this tablet device's camera also counts with flash.

The Tab CDMA has a interesting 7 inches display with a 600 x 1024 resolution, making everything look good. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Tab CDMA comes with a 4000 mAh incredible Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Samsung Galaxy Tab CDMA with a great battery life. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery is non-replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to lose capacity, whereas having 4000 mAh you will probably buy a new tablet before it becomes an issue.

The Tab CDMA offers wifi capability (although it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot) and 3G data connection, over EV-DO A technologies. The Samsung Galaxy Tab CDMA doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services and it works with CDMA networks.

This tablet also includes a handful of useful features as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Navigation, and Light Sensor.

Samsung is selling the Tab CDMA for 529 dollars, which is not cheap for comparing with other similar tablets. No matter whether you want it mostly for social networks and internet browsing or are looking for a gaming portable tablet, this tablet device is definitely a good choice for you.
