BLU Studio 5.5 Review

BLU Studio 5.5 is a mid-to-low level Android cellphone, counting with a high-tech Quad-Core processing unit running at 1200 megahertz, an enormous 5.5-inches capacitive touch-screen, and two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. Let's take a better sight of what this phone can give us.

BLU sells this phone with a MediaTek system chip, holding a high performance 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little disappointing for such a powerful phone. Helping with graphic rendering, this cellphone also uses a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX544 GPU. This cellphone counts with a decent 4 GB internal storage memory, which is quite good considering that it also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store photos and videos and even some games and apps that allow external memory installation.

This phone is available in multiple colors like black, yellow, blue, red and white. BLU has made a really good optimization job making this phone as lightweight as 6.53 ounces. Being just 0.37" thick,the BLU Studio 5.5 is very thin and stilized. The BLU Studio 5.5 is only 6.19" long and 3.12 inches wide, but it is able to fit a a 5.5 inches display.

This phone has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It can also shoot videos up to 1280x720 (HD). In addition, the camera counts with a few nice characteristics: auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

BLU packed this phone with a good 5.5" screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , which makes all images and movies look quite vivid. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The BLU Studio 5.5 uses a 2250 mAh incredible replaceable battery that can keep this device running for many hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it heavily. BLU informs a 300 hs stand by time and a 4 hs talk time for this phone.

This phone includes WiFi capability (which it can provide to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA and EDGE technologies. The BLU Studio 5.5 comes with two SIM cards so it is able to work with 2 different phone numbers and even different carriers at the same time.

The BLU Studio 5.5 also features a couple of cool features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

BLU is selling this cellphone for 100 dollars, which is very expensive for a cellphone this level.
