BLU Vivo Air Review

BLU Vivo Air is an interesting cellphone, including a big 4.8-inches capacitive touch-screen, an exceptional Octa-Core processing unit ticking at 1700 megahertz, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 5 MP front facing camera.

BLU sells the BLU Vivo Air with a high speed 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor, included in the MediaTek MT6592 system chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit disappointing comparing with this device's powerful processor. To collaborate with graphic intensive games and apps, it also counts with an ARM Mali-450 GPU clocking at 650 MHz. This phone counts with a 16 GB quite big internal memory and although it doesn't have an SD card slot, it should be enough to install hundreds of games and applications, but it might not be enough if you are fan of the largest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

The BLU Vivo Air is very thin, being just 0.2" thick. The BLU Vivo Air just has 5.5" long and 2.65 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 4.8 inches screen. This cellphone is much lighter than what one would think about a cellphone like this. This phone is available in two color options, black and white.

This device is equipped with a incredible 4.8 inches screen with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, providing this phone with a high level image quality. Its screen uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

The BLU Vivo Air features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 5 mega-pixels front side camera. It also films Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also counts with multiple useful features like flash, face detection shooting, auto-focus, HDR mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone counts with a large 2100 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that can keep this phone running for several hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it heavily. BLU claims this cellphone has a 24 hours talk time and a 750 hours stand by time. An issue to evaluate is that this phone's battery is non-replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to lose its charge, even though with so much capacity you will probably discard this phone before that happens.

This device counts with wifi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot). The BLU Vivo Air works with a Micro SIM card for GSM services.

The BLU Vivo Air also includes a couple nice features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth phones and accessories), GPS (Global Positioning System) and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is not a very good choice considering it is priced $ 165, and some similar cellphones cost a lot less than that.
