LG Optimus L9 II Review

LG Optimus L9 II is a nice cellphone, featuring a 4.7" display, a high speed 1.4 GHz Dual-Core processing unit, and two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. That's all? Not at all, it's only the shortest summary in history.

Being just 0.37 inches thick,this cellphone is very slim and good-looking. Even though this device is just 5.06" long and 2.62" wide, it still manages to pack a 4.7 inches screen. LG made a very nice design job making this phone as lightweight as 4.23 ounces.

LG designed this phone with a gorgeous 4.7 inches display, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), giving this phone a great graphic quality. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

LG sells this cellphone with a high performance Dual-Core processor speeding at 1.4 gigahertz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little low for a phone of this quality. Graphic rendering generally uses lots of processor time, so this phone counts with a 450 megahertz Adreno 305 graphic processing unit to help with that calculations. The LG Optimus L9 II has an 8 GB interesting internal memory and an SD card slot, allowing you to install a couple hundred games and applications without worrying about space.

This phone features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It also captures 1920x1080 Full HD videos. To complete the camera, it also counts with a few interesting features: flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

This phone includes wifi capability (and it can be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) internet connection, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA and UMTS technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This device also features a lot of useful features as Near Field Communication (NFC), Infrared Blaster, Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone uses a large 2150 mAh Li-Ion battery, which isn't very promising for a device like this. LG reports a 7.4 hours talk time and a 480 hs stand by time for this cellphone.

This phone is not cheap at all considering it is offerred for $ 249, while other similar phones can be found for much less money. The LG Optimus L9 II is probably a good choice for you if you need it for work, will use it as a social device or want it to play games.
