Meizu MX4 Review

Meizu MX4 is a nice Android phone, provisioned with a 5.4-inches touch-screen, a very powerful Octa-Core processor (actually, it has a Quad-Core running at 2.2 GHz and an extra Quad-Core clocking at 1700 MHz), and 2 cameras, a 20.7 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera.

Meizu ships the Meizu MX4 with a MediaTek MT6595 system chip, which holds an extremely fast Octa-Core CPU (formed by a Quad-Core at 2200 MHz and another Quad-Core at 1.7 GHz) with a great 2 GB RAM. The Meizu MX4 counts with a 32 GB big internal storage memory and though it doesn't include a slot for an external memory card, it is still enough to install lots of apps, games, songs, photos and videos without having to worry about how much storage is left.

The Meizu MX4 is much lighter than what one would expect from a cellphone this size. The Meizu MX4 is offerred in three different color options, gray, white and gold. This device is very slim and good-looking, being just 0.35 inches thick. This phone just has 5.67 inches long, but it manages to hold a 5.4 inches display.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 20.7 MP back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. this cellphone's back-facing camera has a F2.2 aperture so it can capture detailed pictures even in poorly lit environments. It also shoots 3840x2160 4K videos at 30 fps. In addition, the camera includes lots of useful features like auto-focus, flash, digital image stabilization, fast burst mode, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone includes a beautiful 1920 x 1152 5.4-inches display, providing this device with a perfect graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Meizu MX4 uses a 3100 mAh long lasting non-removable battery that can keep this cellphone running for several hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it at all. An issue to take into consideration is that this cellphone's battery is non-replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to get older, even though with so much capacity you will probably replace this device before that becomes an issue.

This phone counts with Wi-Fi connectivity (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a modem) and 3G fast connection type, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device works with a Micro SIM card for GSM networks.

This cellphone also includes some interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Meizu offers this device for $ 210, which is a really high price for a cellphone this level. No matter whether you are looking for a cellphone for gaming, you love taking photos or will use it as a social cellphone, you will probably be very pleased with it.
