OPPO Neo 5 (2015) Review

See other variants reviews Score: 48.9 / 100

OPPO Neo 5 (2015) is a decent Android phone launched back in 2015, counting with a 4.5 inches multi-touch screen, a 1.3 gigahertz processor, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This cellphone is offerred in two colors, black and white. This phone doesn't feel very lightweight for a cellphone this size, with a weight of 4.76 oz. This phone is just 5.19" long, but it manages to hold a 4.5 inches display. This cellphone has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.31".

Oppo equipped this cellphone with a good level 4.5-inches screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , which makes everything look great. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

Oppo decided to equip the OPPO Neo 5 (2015) using a powerful 1.3 GHz processing unit, included in the MediaTek MT6582 chip with 1 GB of RAM. This cellphone has a good 8 GB internal memory and an SD memory card expansion slot, which allows you to install hundreds of games and applications without any problem.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front camera. It also films HD 1280x720 videos. The camera also counts with a few good characteristics like auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone features wifi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This device uses 2 Nano SIM cards so it is able to use 2 different carriers or phone numbers at the same time.

The OPPO Neo 5 (2015) features a medium capacity 2000 mAh Li - Polymer non-removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding cellphone like this. A key issue to consider is that this cellphone's battery isn't replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to last shorter, leaving no choice but to buy a new device.

The OPPO Neo 5 (2015) also features a couple of cool features as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Oppo is selling the OPPO Neo 5 (2015) for $ 249, which is expensive for this type of cellphone.
