Plum Gator Review

Plum Gator is a mid-end Android phone, with a high performance 1.3 GHz Dual-Core CPU, a medium sized 3.5" display, and two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera.

This phone is a bit heavyweight comparing with today standards, with a weight of 7.3 ounces. This phone is offerred in two color options, black and red. The Plum Gator is a little thick for today's standards, being as thick as 0.85 inches. While this cellphone is 5.19 inches long, it only comes with a way smaller 3.5 inches screen.

Plum decided to equip this cellphone using a MediaTek MT6572A chip, holding a high speed 1.3 gigahertz Dual-Core processor and only 512 MB RAM memory which is a bit disappointing for a cellphone this powerful. Graphic intensive apps usually consume a lot of processing power, so it also counts with an ARM Mali-400 GPU running at 500 MHz to help the CPU with those tasks. The Plum Gator has a 4 GB internal storage memory, an average amount that should be adequate for most users having that this phone also has a slot for an SD memory card .

This cellphone includes a interesting 3.5-inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, providing this cellphone with a detailed graphic quality. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera. It can also capture 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps. The Plum Gator is being sold for around $ 135, which is very expensive for a device this level.
