Sony Xperia Z Ultra Review

Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a great Android device released in June 2013, which features a very powerful 2200 megahertz Quad-Core CPU, a large 6.4-inches multi touch display, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera.

Regarding its body design materials, this cellphone is built with Glass. This cellphone is thin, being just 0.26 inches thick. This cellphone just has 7.06 inches long and 3.63 inches wide, but it's able to fit a a 6.4" display. Sony is offering the Sony Xperia Z Ultra in three color options, black, purple and white. Sony decided to power this cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip, including a high-tech Quad-Core CPU clocking at 2200 MHz and a big 2 GB RAM. Graphic intensive games and applications often uses a lot of processing power, so this cellphone uses an extra 450 MHz Adreno 330 graphics processing unit to improve overall performance. This phone counts with aquite big 16 GB internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards, which allows the user to install hundreds of applications and games without any problem.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front side camera. It also shoots videos in Full HD 1920x1080. This phone also counts with a large number of useful characteristics: auto-focus, digital image stabilization, fast burst mode, face detection shooting, smile detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

Sony designed the Sony Xperia Z Ultra with an awesome 6.4 inches screen, and a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, which makes all images and videos look brightful and colorful. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This device counts with WiFi connection (which it can share with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high performance connection and also HSPA+ connectivity, which is a bit slower 4G network and the fastest 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM networks.

This phone uses amassive 3050 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that can keep it running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without having to charge it at all. According to Sony, this cellphone has a reported stand by time of 870 hours and a talk time of 14 hours.

This device also comes with a couple of cool characteristics as NFC, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Sony is selling this cellphone for 270 dollars, which is not very cheap for a phone this level.
