This phone feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 4.59 ounces. Even though the ZTE Blade III is very slim and comfortable it's not even close to being one of the thinnest cellphones on sale, with a thickness of 0.43".
This cellphone has a very good 4 inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, providing this phone with a very good image quality. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A chip, backed up by a powerful CPU running at 1 GHz and 512 MB RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic calculations, it also uses a 200 MHz Adreno 200 (enhanced) graphics processing unit. This cellphone counts with a passable 4 GB internal storage memory, which is fine knowing that this device also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store songs, pictures and videos and even some games and apps that allow being installed in the external memory.
This device only features a 5 mega-pixels back camera. It also films videos up to 640x480 (VGA). Additionally, this cellphone's camera also features auto-focus and geo tagging.
The ZTE Blade III includes WiFi connectivity (and it can be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connectivity, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The ZTE Blade III works with a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.
This cellphone has a 1650 mAh medium sized removable battery that can keep this device running for some hours, although you will need to charge it even after moderate use. ZTE claims this cellphone has a 250 hours stand by time and a 4 hs talk time.
The ZTE Blade III also features a few interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories), GPS Localization and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone is being sold for around $ 489, very expensive for a phone this level.
