HP TouchPad Review

HP TouchPad is a low level tablet launched many years ago, featuring a good performance Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1500 MHz, a big size 9.7-inches multi-touch display and a 1.3 mega-pixels front camera.

HP decided to equip the HP TouchPad using a fast Dual-Core processing unit running at 1500 megahertz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060 chip. To help with graphic calculations, it also has an Adreno 220 graphic processing unit ticking at 266 MHz. This tablet has an excellent 64 GB internal memory and even though it doesn't include a slot for an SD memory card, it it is more than enough to store tons of applications, games, pictures and videos without even thinking about filling the tablet.

The HP TouchPad is for sale in white color. HP appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 26.1 ounces tablet. This tablet is a bit thick for current standards, being as thick as 0.54 inches. This tablet is a compact tablet, given that it presents a 9.7" screen and it only has 9.45 inches long and 7.45 inches wide.

The HP TouchPad features WiFi connectivity (but it can't be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot). This tablet doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM connections.

This tablet has only a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera.

This tablet also features a couple useful features as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The HP TouchPad uses a 6300 mAh high capacity Li-Ion non-removable battery that provides this device an incredibly long battery life. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery is non-replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to lose its charge, while having 6300 mAh you will probably buy a new portable tablet before that happens.

This tablet is being sold for $ 370, a very high price for comparing with other similar devices.
