Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 Review

16 GB HSPA+     See other variants reviews Score: 54 / 100

Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 is a little outdated tablet released in 2013, coming with a big 7 inches screen, a very powerful Quad-Core CPU ticking at 1200 megahertz, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 is equipped with a MediaTek MT8125 chip, which holds a high-tech 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core processor with only 1 GB RAM which is a bit disappointing for a portable tablet this good. Graphic calculations usually eats lots of processing time, so it counts with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU running at 384 MHz to take some work out of the CPU. A good point of the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 is its quite big 16 GB internal storage memory and an SD memory slot, allowing you to install a couple hundred applications without any trouble.

Although this tablet is quite slim and comfortable it's not as slim as many other tablets on sale, with a thickness of 0.43". This tablet is a very compact tablet, taking into consideration it features a 7 inches screen and it is only 7.64 inches long. Lenovo sells this tablet in two different colors, black and white. It seems like Lenovo didn't care so much about the weight in this 11.99 oz portable tablet.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. In addition, the camera has auto-focus.

Lenovo packed this tablet with a nice 7 inches display, and a 600 x 1024 resolution, giving this device a regular graphical experience. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This device includes WiFi connectivity (but it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem) and 3G fast data connection, supported by HSPA technologies. This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 has an awesome 3500 mAh Li-Polymer replaceable battery that can keep it running for several hours without charging it at all.

This tablet also features a few useful features as Bluetooth (enables communication with other portable tablets and accessories) and GPS Localization, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 is being sold for 249 dollars, a really high price for a device this level. No matter if you want a portable tablet to play games or want this tablet mostly for internet broswing and social networks, you will probably be very pleased with this device.
