Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 Review

HSPA     See other variants reviews Score: 55.1 / 100

Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 is a mid-level tablet released back in the year 2013, having a really big 10.1-inches multi touch display, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit running at 1200 megahertz, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera.

Lenovo decided to build this tablet using a MediaTek MT8125 system chip, including a high-tech Quad-Core CPU clocking at 1200 megahertz and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit poor for a portable tablet this good. Graphic calculations usually eats lots of CPU time, so this tablet also has an additional PowerVR SGX544 GPU ticking at 384 MHz to unload the CPU. This tablet counts with a 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and an SD memory card expansion slot, allowing the user to install a couple hundred games and apps without any trouble.

The Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 feels much lighter than what one would expect from a device of this size. Although this tablet just has 10.24" long and 7.09 inches wide, it still manages to contain a 10.1" display. This tablet is just 0.34" thick, taking it to the thinnest tablet's category.

This tablet is equipped with a nice 800 x 1280 10.1" screen, giving this tablet a regular image quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This tablet features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. In addition, the camera counts with auto-focus.

This tablet packs a high capacity 6530 mAh Li-Polymer replaceable battery that can keep it running for several hours without having to charge it at all.

This tablet includes wifi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G data connection, using HSPA technologies. This device doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services.

The Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 also comes with a few interesting features like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 is being sold for about $ 249, which is a very high price for this type of tablet. No matter if you want a tablet for work, will use it for playing games or are looking for a social tablet, you will definitely love this tablet.
