ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus is a mid-end phone, including a quite big 5-inches multi-touch capacitive display, a powerful 1 GHz processing unit, a 13 mega-pixels back camera and a 5 megapixels front side camera.
This phone just has 5.63 inches long and 2.8" wide, but it's still able to fit a a 5" screen. This phone has a wonderful design, with a thickness of just 0.37 inches. Archos didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.68 oz phone. Archos sells this cellphone in two different colors: black and white.
Archos decided to build this device with a Mediatek MT6735P system chip, which holds a good performance 1000 megahertz processing unit and 1 GB RAM memory. The ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus counts with an interesting 8 GB internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, which allows the user to store a couple hundred apps without any trouble.
Archos equipped this phone with a good level 5" display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes all images and movies look very good. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
The ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus features two cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 5 mega-pixels front camera. It also captures videos in HD 1280x720. This device also includes a couple of interesting characteristics like flash, auto-focus, geo tagging and face detection shooting.
The ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus uses a good 2000 mAh Li - Ion removable battery providing this cellphone with a below average battery life.
The ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus includes wi-fi capability (but it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high speed connectivity and also HSPA+ internet connection, a bit slower 4G network and fast 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone comes with 2 Micro SIM cards to be able to to work with two different phone numbers or carriers in the same cellphone.
The ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus also comes with a handful of nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth devices, computers and accessories), GPS and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone is very overpriced considering it costs 249 dollars, while some similar phones cost a lot less than that.
