BlackBerry Torch 9850 is a decent quality BlackBerry cellphone released in August 2011, having a 3.7-inches multi touch screen, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a good performance CPU speeding at 1.2 gigahertz.
Blackberry decided to build this cellphone with a good performance CPU speeding at 1200 megahertz and 768 MB RAM memory. This phone has a medium 4 GB internal storage, which is quite good considering that it also has an SD extension slot to store songs, photographs and videos.
This cellphone is quite slim and comfortable, but it's not so slim as many other cellphones in the market, with a thickness of 0.45". It seems like Blackberry decided not to care much about the weight in this 4.76 oz phone.
This cellphone is equipped with a interesting 800 x 480 3.7" screen, providing this phone with a very good graphic quality. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
This phone has only a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. It can also shoot videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 frames per second. This cellphone also features some useful characteristics: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting and geo tagging.
The BlackBerry Torch 9850 offers WiFi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks and it works with both GSM and CDMA.
This device also comes with a couple of useful features like Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The BlackBerry Torch 9850 has a medium capacity 1230 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides this cellphone a not very long battery durationcompared to other phones. Blackberry afirms this phone has a stand by time of 321 hs and a talk time of 6.8 hours.
This cellphone costs about 125 dollars, a very high price for comparing with similar phones.
