HTC Wildfire S Review

HTC Wildfire S is a mid-to-low level Android phone launched in February 2011, counting with a 3.2" display, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a fast 600 megahertz processor.

This device comes with a good processing unit running at 600 MHz, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip with 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering usually consume a lot of CPU cycles, so this phone also also has an Adreno 200 graphic processing unit running at 128 megahertz to improve overall performance.

The HTC Wildfire S is available in 2 different colors, pink and gray. The HTC Wildfire S doesn't feel very lightweight comparing to other devices , with a weight of 3.7 ounces.

This cellphone is equipped with a good level 3.2" display with a 480 x 320 resolution, giving this device a good graphical experience. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The HTC Wildfire S is only equipped with a 5 MP back-facing camera. This phone also captures videos in 720x480 at 24 frames per second. In addition, the camera features flash and auto-focus.

This cellphone has a medium sized 1230 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this phone with a poor battery life. HTC claims this phone has a stand by time of 360 hours and a talk time of 7.1 hours.

This phone has wifi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

The HTC Wildfire S also includes some cool characteristics as Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone is really expensive considering it costs 199 dollars, and other similar phones cost much less than that.
