Micromax Canvas XL is a fair quality Android phone, provisioned with a high speed 1.3 GHz Quad-Core CPU, a really big 6-inches capacitive screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 5 mega-pixels front side camera.
Micromax did a very good job making this phone weight just 6.35 oz. This phone only has 6.5 inches long, but it still manages to hold a 6" screen. The Micromax Canvas XL's thickness of 0.41 inches is quite far from nowadays standards, but it still feels fine in the user's hand.
Micromax designed this phone with an average 6" display, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , which makes everything look quite good. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
Micromax sells the Micromax Canvas XL with an extremely powerful 1300 MHz Quad-Core CPU, included in a Mediatek MT6582 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit low for a phone this powerful. Graphic rendering often consume a lot of CPU processing time, so this phone also has a 416 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphic processing unit to help with that calculations. This phone counts with a decent 4 GB internal storage memory, which is adequate for most users considering the Micromax Canvas XL also has a slot for SD memory cards to store photos and videos and even some games and apps that allow external memory installation.
This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 5 MP front facing camera. This phone also shoots videos up to 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. Additionally, this phone's camera also counts with some useful features: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.
This phone packs a 2450 mAh amazing replaceable battery that provides the Micromax Canvas XL a great battery duration. Micromax reports a 209 hours stand by time and a 9.5 hours talk time for this phone.
The Micromax Canvas XL counts with fast 3G connectivity, over HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM connections.
This device is not very convinient considering it is sold for $ 155, and other similar cellphones can be found for much less money.
