This phone is for sale in three colors, black, gray and purple. This phone's thickness , 0.43 inches, is a little far from nowadays standards, but it still feels fine in the user's hand. Nokia didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.62 ounces phone.
This phone is equipped with a good looking 640 x 360 3.5 inches screen, giving this cellphone a very good graphical experience. Its screen uses LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
Nokia decided to equip the Nokia 701 using a good performance processor speeding at 1 gigahertz with 512 MB of RAM memory. This phone has an 8 GB interesting internal storage memory and an SD memory card expansion slot, allowing the user to install a couple hundred apps without any problem.
The Nokia 701 provides WiFi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless router or modem) and the fastest 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA and UMTS technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM networks.
The Nokia 701 is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. This cellphone can also capture videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 frames per second. The camera also has a couple of good characteristics: flash, face detection shooting, digital image stabilization and geo tagging.
The Nokia 701 also features a couple interesting features like NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone uses a mid sized 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will need to charge it even after moderate usage. According to Nokia, this device has a reported 17 hs talk time and a 504 hours stand by time.
This phone is really overvalued considering it costs $ 319, and many similar cellphones are a lot cheaper than that.
