Samsung Vibrant Review

Samsung Vibrant is a mid-level Android device released some years ago, in 2010, equipped with a 5 MP back-facing camera, a fast CPU speeding at 1000 megahertz and a 4-inches display. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the introduction of a much deeper review.

Samsung did an amazing job making this device weight just 4.16 ounces. The Samsung Vibrant is incredibly thin, with a thickness of just 0.39 inches.

The Samsung Vibrant is equipped with a powerful processing unit running at 1000 MHz, bundled in the Samsung Exynos 3 system chip. Graphic intensive games and applications usually consume lots of CPU processing time, so it has a PowerVR SGX540 GPU clocking at 200 MHz to take some work out of the processor. A good feature of the Samsung Vibrant is its quite large 16 GB internal storage memory and an external memory slot, which allows you to install hundreds of applications without any problem.

This phone only features a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. This phone can also shoot HD 1280x720 videos at 30 frames per second. This camera also has a couple of interesting characteristics: auto-focus, fast burst mode and smile detection shooting.

This phone is equipped with a interesting 4" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels in the display. Its display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone packs a mid sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery providing this phone with a quite short battery life. Samsung afirms this cellphone has a stand by time of 450 hours and a talk time of 6.5 hours.

This cellphone counts with wifi connection (and it can provide it to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM connection.

This phone also comes with a couple cool characteristics as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Samsung sells this phone for $ 280, which is expensive for this type of cellphone. It doesn't matter whether you will use it as a gaming device or want this device mainly for social networks and internet browsing, you will probably be very satisfied with this cellphone.
