BlackBerry Torch 9860 is a not so powerful phone launched some years ago, in 2011, having a 5 megapixels back side camera, a powerful CPU running at 1200 MHz and a medium 3.7-inches multi-touch capacitive display.
Blackberry decided to sell this cellphone with a good performance processing unit speeding at 1200 MHz and 768 MB RAM. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 comes with a decent 4 GB internal storage memory, which is enough for the vast majority of users considering it also has a slot for SD memory cards to store songs, pictures and videos and even some applications that allow being installed in the external memory.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 4.76 ounces. Although the BlackBerry Torch 9860 is thin and comfortable it's not so thin as many other devices out there, with a thickness of 0.45 inches.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is equipped with a nice 3.7 inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, giving this cellphone a good level graphical experience. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 counts with wi-fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem) and 3G fast connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is only equipped with a 5 megapixels back-facing camera. It is capable of capturing videos in 1280x720 (HD). To complete the camera, it also has a couple of interesting characteristics: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting and geo tagging.
This cellphone has a good 1230 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides this cellphone a quite short battery lifecompared to other devices. According to Blackberry, this phone has a reported 4.7 hours talk time and a 334 hs stand by time.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 also features a couple interesting characteristics as Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone is really overpriced considering it is sold for 190 dollars, while some similar devices are being sold much cheaper than that.
