GIGABYTE GSmart Rey R3 is a decent quality Android cellphone, with a 4.5 inches touch-screen, an extremely fast 1300 MHz Dual-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera.
Gigabyte decided to power this cellphone with a great Dual-Core CPU speeding at 1300 MHz, included in a MediaTek MT6572 chip with only 1 GB RAM which is a bit poor for such a good phone. To collaborate with graphic rendering, it also counts with a 500 megahertz ARM Mali-400 graphic processing unit. This phone has areasonable 4 GB internal storage memory, which is enough for most users considering it also has a slot for an SD memory card to store pictures and videos.
This cellphone is very thin and looks really nice, but it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones currently available, with a thickness of 0.41". This cellphone isn't very light comparing to other phones , with a weight of 4.87 ounces.
This phone includes a good looking 854 x 480 4.5-inches screen, giving this cellphone a very nice graphical experience. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This cellphone includes wi-fi connectivity (although it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connection type, that is not as fast as LTE networks and 3G fast data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone supports dual SIM cards so it's able to use 2 different phone lines and even different carriers at the same time.
This phone has two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. Additionally, this phone's camera also counts with some nice features like auto-focus, flash and smile detection shooting.
The GIGABYTE GSmart Rey R3 uses a 1800 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion battery, which is quite poor for a thirsty device like this. Gigabyte says this cellphone has a stand by time of 320 hours and a talk time of 8 hours.
The GIGABYTE GSmart Rey R3 also comes with a few cool features as Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This device costs about $ 155, not a really offer for a cellphone this level.
