Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray Review

Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is a little outdated Android cellphone launched many years ago, featuring a great performance 1000 megahertz processor, a medium 3.3" display, an 8.1 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front facing camera.

This phone is just 0.37 inches thick, taking it to the thinnest cellphone's category. Apparently Sony forgot about weight optimization in this 3.53 ounces phone. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is available in a lot of color variations like black, pink, yellow and white.

Sony decided to equip this cellphone with a good performance processor running at 1 GHz and 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually eats lots of processing power, so it has an ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphic processing unit ticking at 320 MHz to help the CPU with those tasks. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray has a 307,2 MB internal memory, a low quantity that might be enough for some users knowing that this cellphone also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store songs, photos and videos and even some apps and games that allow being installed in the external memory.

This device includes a good level 854 x 480 3.3 inches display, which makes all images and videos look very nice. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This device uses a good 1500 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a phone like this. Sony reports a 430 hours stand by time and a 6.5 hours talk time for this cellphone.

This cellphone also features some interesting features such as Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This phone is not very convinient considering it is sold for $ 119, while other similar devices are being sold much cheaper than that. If you want this cellphone mostly for social networks, this phone is probably a great option .
