Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 (40mm) Review

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 (40mm) is a mid-to-low level phone released back in 2019, packed with a powerful Dual-Core processing unit running at 1.15 GHz and a compact 1.2 inches screen.

Samsung made the Watch Active 2 (40mm) in 3 colors, gold, silver and stainless steel: black. This phone feels quite heavyweight for a device of this size, with a weight of 1.31 ounces. Whereas the Watch Active 2 (40mm) is 1.57 inches long, it only packs a much smaller 1.2 inches screen. This phone's thickness , 0.43", is quite far from nowadays standards, but it still feels quite comfortable in the hand.

This device comes with a Samsung Exynos 9110 system chip, which holds a powerful 1.15 GHz Dual-Core CPU and a large 1,5 GB of RAM. The Watch Active 2 (40mm) comes with a medium 4 GB internal memory, which might be a bit low depending on the use having that it doesn't count with a slot for an SD memory card to store more apps, pictures, videos.

The Watch Active 2 (40mm) has no cameras at all.

Samsung designed this cellphone with an awesome 1.2 inches display, and a 360 x 360 resolution, which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels taking part of the display.

This phone provides WiFi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high performance internet connection and also HSPA+ connectivity, which is a slower 4G type and fast 3G connection type, using HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. The Watch Active 2 (40mm) doesn't have a SIM card, because it is not a GSM enabled phone.

The Watch Active 2 (40mm) features a 247 mAh small capacity Li - Ion non-removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding phone like this. A big issue to take into consideration is that this device's battery isn't replaceable so you can't change it when it begins to last shorter, having to buy a new device to "solve it".

This phone also comes with a handful of nice features such as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (5.0 ) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Barometer.
